Lanta Islands is geographically regarded as the gateway to the dive sites of the southern Andaman Sea. It is surrounded by many islands well-known for dive sites.
 
     
 
Talad Saladan or Leam Tueng Tourists who come by tour operator's boats will step down on Koh Lanta Yai first at Talad Saladan pier or Leam Tueng as called by the locals. This is like a small gateway to receive all visitors from overseas. "Gateway to Koh Lanta Yai" as called by some, is fact, it is the locals on the island that attract the tourists and are like a gateway lovely, warm and very friendly to them.
 
     
 
Klong Dao Beach is a famous beach with the largest number of accommodation on Koh Lanta. The white and clean sand and the spacious beach makes it the tourists' favorite.
 
 
     
 
 
Phra Ae Beach Or Long Beach was separately called in the past, but become the same beach nowadays. It has a beachline with brownish red sand that stretches straight as long as 2 kilometers, narrow and sloping ideal for swimming.
 
     
 
The Beach is shady with lines of coconut and pine trees for bassinet setting or picnics at the park with simple Thai food such as sticky rice with somtam and grilled chicken in the beachy atmosphere.
 
     
 
The Beach setting is serene, as its length helps spread resorts and restaurants. In the evening, it offers many a nice viewpoint for sunset and islets in the front sea includeing Koh Phai, Koh Phi Phi Don, Koh Mah and Koh Ha next on it.
